1. Composition of LPG Filling Station
The liquefied petroleum gas station(lpg filling station) consists of two parts, the production area and the auxiliary area. The production area is the area where LPG operations are performed, including receiving facilities, gas storage tanks, pump and compressor rooms, instrument rooms, bottle filling workshops, bottle warehouses, car tank garages, and bottled truck loading and unloading sites.
The auxiliary area is composed of auxiliary production facilities and living facilities, including substation and power distribution room, instrument room, air compressor room, fire water pump room, pool, and office and living rooms. The production area is a Class A fire hazard zone, smoke and fire are strictly prohibited, and all electrical equipment is explosion-proof. The production area and the auxiliary area are separated by a solid wall.

The LPG storage and distribution station is a facility for storing and distributing LPG. The main task is to receive, store and fill cylinders with liquefied petroleum gas.

Liquefied petroleum gas loading and unloading refers to filling the LPG in the tank truck into the LPG storage tank, and filling the LPG in the storage tank into the steel cylinder. Generally, the following methods are used: ①Compressor loading and unloading. ② Pump loading and unloading. ③ Loading and unloading of gasification booster. These several loading and unloading methods can be used in combination in the storage and distribution station according to the specific situation, the most common is to use pumps and compressors to work together for loading and unloading.

The amount of liquefied petroleum gas stored in the storage and distribution station can be determined according to factors such as the number of gas sources, the distance between the storage and distribution station and the gas source, the reliability of transportation equipment, and peak user demand. When the storage capacity is small, it is more economical to use a cylindrical or spherical normal temperature pressure gas storage tank; when the storage capacity is large, it is more economical to use a low temperature and normal pressure gas storage tank. Some also use underground caverns and frozen ground caves to store liquefied petroleum gas (see underground gas storage).

Filling cylinders with liquefied petroleum gas is an important task of the storage and distribution station. Cylinder filling methods can be divided into weight filling and volume filling according to measurement methods, and manual filling and mechanized and automated filling according to operation methods. Mechanized filling refers to the beginning of empty bottle unloading, through sub-inspection, conveying, cleaning, filling, weighing, leak detection, and solid bottle loading, all using mechanized devices. The filling is carried out on a rotary bottle filling unit. Automated filling means that the whole process of filling adopts an automatic control system. The automatic filling equipment controlled by the electronic computer can fill 1200 bottles per hour, only three people are required to operate and manage.
